We first opened for business in 2003, and have been serving Hull, Beverley,Driffield and the rest of the east riding, ever since. Poise School of Dance is owned by Mrs Clare Louise Adamson, she is also the Principal of the school and a fully accredited tutor for the East Riding Yorkshire Council, which is recognised by the National Dance Council for Performing Arts. Clare has been dancing from the age of 7 years old and has reached a credible status with all her pupils and piers. She has performed in regional championships around the UK gaining many awards including Best Street Dancer of the year, champion status in freestyle at the age of 15 and gained well deserved principal tutor status.
Being a very hard working mum of two Clare never ceases to impress, and she is always in demand from most local schools and colleges. Clare has taught many academic pupils and choreographed their college routines and exam styles helping them gain high grades. She has also taught college lecturers in Hull and East Riding.
Clare has worked with the BBC from 2004 promoting health and fitness programmes aimed at children in the Hull and East Riding Area, she has also worked with local charities and child welfare trusts. She is also one of the top Street Dance tutors for the East Riding Of Yorkshire council and currently has a very busy work schedule, teaching in at least three different East Riding Schools and leisure centres plus also her own three professional dance schools.
Poise Dance School has an excellent exam pass rate. All pupils are encouraged and guided in tuition to their own comfortable pace, thus creating a happy friendly and fun dance class that pupils return to year after year. Pupils love our laid back structural approach to a style of dance that should be enjoyed and not endured!
We offer fun and exciting dance or fitness classes, ranging from Street Dance and freestyle through to show dance and zumba, we also have a range of different venues with professional flooring.
